Name-dropping is generally a wack thing to do, in my opinion. I mean, I’ve gotten some free stuff n shit but I’m not proud of it. There’s only two forms of name-dropping that I approve of:

1. Casual conversations that are overheard.

This is my favorite of the two because it seems (and is) so effortless, yet cool. It’s not like you’re tryna sound like you know certain people… You’re just talking about your everyday life, which happens to include people with names that are worth dropping. (Blog posts may fall under this category.)

2. Face to face.

Nah, I think this one is my favorite, actually. I love taking to someone (girls in particular) and saying their name throughout the conversation. I love to hear my own name, and I assume other people do too. I just think it makes the conversation more pleasant, PLUS you get to put the face together with the name multiple times during the course of one conversation… I find that particularly helpful since I meet lots of people nowadays.
